After having worked very closely with world’s best riders and having contributed to some amazing victories on the Enduro World Series (Cécile Ravanel - EWS winner, Isabeau Courdurier 2nd EWS in 2016, 2017, 2018, both three years in row with Hutchinson), Hutchinson decided that it is time to offer the best of its know-how not only to professional athletes.

Hutchison's objective was to develop a tire with the fastest rolling performance and the best lateral grip for every type of dry conditions. Dust, rocks, roots ; nothing can resist the Griffus.

Thus the brand offers a complete gravity range with the Griffus going alongside the mythic TOROs, and the DZO tires for mud conditions.

The Griffus 2.40 is the faster rolling version, its central tread offering the right compromise between efficiency and braking.

With a 57 mm cross section and a faster central tread it can be used as a rear tyre for riders seeking to save precious seconds in competition.

The Griffus 2.40 is also a versatile tyre and can also be used for All Mountain riding as a front and rear option.

The tyre of choice for elite riders such as Carson Storch, Kilian Bron, Yoann Barelli and Cécile Ravanel.

Used at the front, its high knobs provide you a perfect cornering stability and a very high riding precision.

Used at the rear, its 58 mm section will be your asset to ride in the most difficult conditions.

The Griffus Racing Lab has been developed using the best of Hutchinson's technologies.
Every component of the tyre has been meticulously chosen to offer the best riding experience.

Our Hardskin® solution, patented textile reinforcement from bead to bead is based on 3 principles: reinforced tear resistance, puncture resistance, tire structuring for a better road holding.

Created in its new form in 2010, Hardskin® is the essential partner for all riders seeking to avoid troubles.

The weight has been mastered and the association of a 66 TPI casing brings high quality dynamism and durability.

Tubeless tire whose airtightness is guaranteed by Hutchinson Protect’Air Max latex sealant.

. Compatible with and without inner tube.
. Easy to mount.

. Puncture resistance: the absence of an inner tube eliminates the risk of punctures due to impact/pinch or burst. The Hutchinson latex sealant also refills microperforations.

. Comfort: Possibility to ride at lower pressure to better put up with the road’s defects.

. Increased grip thanks to a greater deformation of the tire in curves.

. Improved performance due to the no internal frictions with an inner tube.

Race Ripost GRAVITY compound is dedicated to challenging practice but keeps rolling capacities.

It’s thicker than the RR XC. It is softer and it reacts slower to enhance deformation and grip.

It’s the perfect combination between tricompound and Hardskin reinforcement. Structure compound 94 ShA Central compound 50 Sha/Rebound 20% Lateral compound 40 Sha/Rebound 20%.

Carson Storch

« The Griffus is up there with some of the best tires I've ridden. I run the 2.5" Griffus in the front, and 2.4" Griffus in the rear. They are an all around solid set up on everything I've ridden so far ; big fast jumps, and dry blown out/rocky terrain. »

Reed Boggs

« The 66TPI casing suits me perfectly ; very good balance between robustness and weight. As it’s solid on the ground and light in the air, it allows me to be very agile. »

Cécile Ravanel

« We found our weapon for dry rocky terrains and bike parks ! The lower profile of these crampons allows you to go faster and save on pedaling without losing the lateral grip. Less pedaling downhill is also more flow and more fun! »

Isabeau Courdurier

« I'm really rigorous about tires, I need feel confident and be sure not to suffer punctures, without being too heavy, with fast rolling performance, while keeping a significant grip. With the Griffus, I have the perfect compromise between grip and performance. I will use it on 80% of the races, the DZO will take over when the mud will be part of the game. »

Killian Bron

« The Griffus has an impressive lateral grip and is very reassuring on this kind of line where falling is not an option. I mainly use the 2.50 version at the front and the 2.40 version at the rear, it's the good compromise for me between reliability, grip and performance. »

Rémy Métailler

« Ideal for rides where performance and versatility are needed. It's good on rocky terrains, the long wet slabs of British Columbia, wet roots, but also the hard and dusty terrain of Chile. »

Nicolas Lau

« The Griffus was the missing piece in the range. It’s a perfect tire on dry and rocky terrain while remaining versatile with grip and performance. It is also a tire that can go everywhere downhill as well as up with our ebikes! »

Kévin Miquel

« The Griffus is part of my 4th place and my podium on the last two rounds of the EWS! I also enjoy riding with a French brand and tires made in France - pretty proud of it! »
